Ambulance services

I called in to request an ambulance for my friend, he was having severe chest pains, I gave all the relevant info they asked for and the lady on the other end of the line sounded very professional, however, I got a call back not five minutes later from a different lady swearing me about a complaint I allegedly made earlier and that they would not be sending an ambulance out because of my alleged complaint. I called in ONCE and it was to request an ambulance for someone in need and I was practically mauled telephonically there after... surely calls are recorded? And regardless of all of this, what happens to the person in pain, is he left to die?
