ZERO Communication/updates throughout the claims process

ZERO Communication throughout claims process. All the claims documentation was sent on 17/05. After multiple e-mails and phone calls they confirmed 2 days ago that they will mark the claim as urgent and that the claims investigator will give me an update - Still NO communication received. Claim Ref no: QNO273850 / Policy no: AMBL***

Dear Melody,

Thank you for the claim feedback as per the review.

The claim assessment period is a maximum of 14 days from receipt of all the required documents.  From the notification date of 17 May 2021 the claim should be finalised by end of business day on 31 May 2021

The QNO27350 reference number, means that your claim is being attended to.

Communication on the outcome of the assessment will be provided by end of business day on Monday, 31 May 2021 latest.

Yours Sincerely,
Paul Makwea

Reviewer Update
I have an e-mail confirmation as well as telephonic conversations where I was promised that my claim will be finalised within 10 working days??? What is the holdup when ALL my documentation is in order? I had to pay a huge expense upfront out of pocket and the doctors/specialist are also awaiting payment. If my claim is not settled within 10 working days then I will consider to move our gap cover policy elsewhere. Why should this process take so long?

Dear Melody,

As per the exchanges on email, I extract, We receive a high number of claims daily.Depending on the workflow, there may be a bottleneck at any one point in the process. We however aim to work within the turnaround times.  As things stand, your claim is still within the turnaround time. I ask for your patience, should your claim not be finalised by end of business on Monday 31 May 2021, you have all the right to hold me to account for my commitment.

Yours Sincerely,
