Ambledown recent reply was shocking after saying that payment was DONE and email was sent to confirm NON of this happened. Now i get a reply to say that the matter is with Constantia and there is a delay this is unacceptable service thus a most definate NO NO dealing with Ambledown. Now they making their problem mine and who wants to deal with such a company. I will in due time cancel my policy with them and use another more efficient service provider.

23 Aug 2022, 14:41Dear Narsamulu N,
The previous response to your review remain.
The situation is undesirable, unpleasant and uncomfortable. We are in the business of providing a solution and relief and not to frustrate nor inconvenience you in anyway. The fact that almost all business decisions have to be reviewed by the Curator is the main reason, but since this was the first batch of transactions that we put through, we believe that the solution and a clear working process will be put in place going forward to avoid the “bottleneck”.
The process that is unfolding with the Curator can happen to any other insurance company and is not unique to Constantia. We appreciate that for a business process to be put under Curatorship creates uncer*****y, however it is no reason to panic as yet. Please continue to submit your claims so that we can assess your claim and ensure that as soon as funds are released by the curator all valid claims are paid without further delays.
It is in the interest of all of us that we allow the Curator to perform his duties and put together a working process to manage all current and future claims.
Ordinarily your claim that was released on 12 August would have been settled with no issue. It is regrettable that the normal channels of communication are stretched with the current arrangement with the Curator. Ambledown would not have made the critical commitments and unfairly raised your expectations had we known earlier.
So, We encourage members to stay on and expect them to pay premiums. Non-paying members will cause instability to the risk pool and lose out in the long run. The intended move to the new insurer is on the same terms and conditions as per your current contract. A move to any other provider creates an opportunity that waiting periods may be imposed on your new policy and shuts out the possibility of payment for any claim on pre-existing conditions for the next twelve months.
As frustrated and inconvenienced as you are, I appeal for your further patience.
Thank you for engaging with us.
Yours sincerely
Paul Makwea

The long drawn out explanation does NOT solve my or any other clients problem regarding payment. You need to sort out your own internal problem and pay out my claim soonest. I need my claim to be paid out like NOW. I waited long enough.
I would rather choose a service provider that can process claims timeously and not be treated in this manner. I have had this problem with Ambledown previously also.
I NEED MY CLAIM TO BE PAID OUT NOW.

19 Oct 2022, 14:42Dear Narsamulu N,
Thank you for the update on your query.
Thank you for the support, for staying and trusting us even during the testing times for our business.
We are sorry we could not release the claim payment quick enough. The Constantia situation (is)was unfortunate and out of our control. Things escalated quickly from Curatorship to liquidation, without communication in between from the Curator to allow us to in turn communicate with you.
At no point were we avoiding engaging with you, we however had little non-committal facts to work with.
The future looks bright and trust that your future engagement with us will be positive and better.
Should there be anything additional that I can assist with, kindly send me an email on ***.
I thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding.
Yours sincerely
