Shocking poor service
Worst service ever. Almost a month for my claims to be processed and finalized. Will def be looking for alternative gap cover. Consus do not waste your time for that's exactly what this company will do.... Rather find a company that prides themselves in providing customer excellence.

23 Aug 2022, 12:35Dear Sanita L
Thank you for your review.
I apologise that I have to repeat the response provided in the previous reviews (of other members) however the situation remains..
There are 3 claims registered for you on our system.
The 2 claims received on 29 July are finalised and are part of the batch sitting with the Curator. The 3rd received in August is going through quality check and will be finalised by end of business, it will also await the Curator to release .
Ambledown was recently advised that Constantia Insurance Company Limited has been placed under provisional curatorship. The curator, in the last week has changed the process of releasing payments for claims and unfortunately, this is resulting in a delay of funds being released by the insurer (Constantia Insurance Company Limited).
At this point in time Ambledown is not able to provide a definite date. We have escalated the matter to the curator and have requested an urgent response. As soon as the curator releases the funds all valid claims waiting for release of payment will be paid. Please continue to submit your claims so that we can assess your claim and ensure that as soon as funds are released by the curator all valid claims are paid.
Please keep an eye on your emails for further communication on the progress of your claims. We are hopeful that payments are imminent.
I apologise for the frustrations and inconvenience over the last week or so. Thank you for your understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Paul Makwea

Thank you for the update on your query.
We record that your claims have since been released. We are sorry we could not release the claim payments early enough.
Thank you for the support, for staying and trusting us even during the testing times for our business.
The Constantia situation (is)was unfortunate and out of our control. Things escalated quickly from Curatorship to liquidation, without communication in between from the Curator to allow us to in turn communicate with you. At no point were we avoiding engaging with you, we however had little non-committal facts to work with.
The future looks bright and trust that your future engagement with us will be positive and better.
Should there be anything additional that I can assist with, kindly send me an email on ***.
I thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding.
Yours sincerely
