Ambledown the ******

I've suffered with Ambledown, it's the 3rd month since I submitted a claim. What irritate me the most is that they are not even brave enough to tell me that they are not going to pay for the claim. I'm waisting my airtime, my time as well. Sometimes they are even dodging my calls. I don't understand if Ambledown is the real company or maybe a ****. Yet I'm a paying client.

Dear Sibongile N,

Thank you for your review below.

The policy contract is a contract of insurance between you and the insurer.

The role players in the administration of the insurance contract are:
Insurer – Affinity Life Limited, your insurer (the risk carrier with whom your policy is placed)
Intermediary – Healthcor Projects (Pty) Ltd, your broker authorised to render advice and Intermediary services. Underwriting Manager –the administrator who performs claims administration functions of the insurer in terms of a binder agreement.
We regret that you are irritated that Ambledown is "not even brave enough to tell me that they are not going to pay for the claim.", it is not our place to do that.

Reiterating what you were informed on numerous occasions, Ambledown has a limited mandate on claims approval. After reaching a certain threshold we must refer claims to the insurer. This is where we are. Ambledown does not have control over the insurers internal processes.

As soon as we receive an update of the claim review, we will communicate the decision.
Yours Sincerely
Paul Makwea*** Ambledown Financial Services (Pty) Ltd
