Poor workmanship and failure to respond to requests to resolve all problems.

I recently did a renovation on my flat in Fishhoek. I was not personally involved with the sub contractors, but Ambassador Doors and Windows was sub contracted to replace all of the windows and frames. The entire project has run smoothly, but has been dragged down by poor workmanship and disgusting service from Ambassador Doors and Windows.

Ambassador was contracted to replace multiple wooden sash windows and a large aluminum frame in an arch at the front of the flat.

Firstly, the aluminum window frame was an absolute disaster in which they failed to build it to properly fit the arch. They were brought back multiple times. The final result that I saw in December had air gaps between the aluminum frame and glass. By this point, the project manager had requested a refund for the aluminum frame and we have now had this redone by a different supplier. The new supplier also ran into one or two difficulties (I believe that it is complicated to fit an arch), however, they managed to conclude the work to our satisfaction.

Secondly, Some of the sash windows were installed without working mechanisms. I believe that they are missing counterweights. At this stage, Ambassador Doors and Windows is refusing to take calls from my project manager and we are having to pay someone else to resolve these issues.
