The great Amazon has zero cusomer service and takes money without consent.

I recently bought a toy on Amazon. Before I had time to consider or give my consent, my payment was taken and finalised and I was given a date for delivery. A little while later, without any apology or even the word "delay", I was informed that the order would be delivered 18 days later. When I tried to have a conversation about these two issues, that is when I started running around in circles. There is NO WAY to speal to anyone at Amazon. Even if, after much searching, you do succeed in sending an e.mail, the answer just sends you links back to the useless list if options which do not include your query. Otherwise they graciously offer to "call you back", which involves you clicking on a button and your phone saying "end of call" without even ringing. I mentioned all of this in my numerous efforts to get through to them, but to no avail. Amazon does not need my patronage, it seems. I am very disappointed and will not buy ftom them again.
