empty amazon package

I bought a Xiaomi phone from amazon, when they delivered my package I heard the doorbell ring and got my sealed amazon package, I opened the package and found my Xiaomi phone's box that was also sealed.

I opened that box to find that there is no phone inside the package, I contacted amazon's help support and they said they will need to do an investigation that will take 3 days.

after 4 days with no response from amazon I contacted their help support again and they said that the investigation is done and that if I did not receive my package that it was ****** and that I need to file a police report.

I then explained to them again that I received my package but that there was no phone inside, they still said that I need a police report, the police laughed at me when I told them the story.

A police report won't do anything ...
