Amazon thinks South Africans are not worth their while

Amazon does not give a rat's ass about South African customers!!!! My Amazon account was hacked. Fortunately, the credit card associated with my account had just expired. Unfortunately the hacker gained access to my Kindle library and removed all of the content - books I have spent thousands on through the years, dating back to 2014. I have used the chat option on Kindle to communicate this to the customer service agents, have finally gotten an email address out of one of them, sent numerous emails with confirmation of orders, etc. I have tried phoning Amazon - but unfortunately, living in South Africa and dialing their international number - *** - and various others provided by customer service agents, just gives the voice prompt "the number you have dialed does not exist." Various customer service agents have tried setting up a call back - only to realize that Amazon are unable to phone their South African customers on their mobile phones. After explaining this to numerous agents over the past 2 weeks, and receiving the same generic emails instructing me to phone the international number - am I still unable to access my Kindle library content.

I have suggested a zoom call or WhatsApp call, but apparently Amazon are technologically limited and cannot be reached by any other means than the landline...

So, after two weeks I have to resign myself to the fact that I have lost the books that I have bought over 6 years and all of the money that I have spent on Kindle, because Amazon customer service is beyond useless!!!!
