Absolutely *********** technical "assistance" and complete lack of accountability for their errors.

My kindle paperwhite stopped syncing my notes and highlights to the cloud. I spend many hours adding notes and highlights to a book so that I could use these for a course I'm developing so I really needed these synchronised. I contacted Amazon customer support and explained the problem. Without asking my permission, or even warning me their representative DELETED my book and overwrote it with a new copy. This meant all my work (many dozens of hours) was lost. When I complained they passed me around between "resolution specialists" for more than 2 weeks whilst promising that "their team is working on it", and then told me that they can't help and won't compensate me for the lost data they deleted. An absolutely terrible experience.
