They could not care less about sticking to the agreed delivery date

It was a logistical nightmare and incredibly stressful. They were two hours late to pick up our move which placed was very stressful for us us because we had early afternoon flight to Cape Town to catch. We were told that our move would be delivered on the Friday; they called us on Thursday afternoon and told us our move had not left Gauteng yet because of logistical issues and would only arrive on Monday. We had plane tickets back to Gauteng on Sunday because we both had to be back at work the next Monday. Amazing transport's solution was for us to prolong our stay in the Western Cape. At no point was it an issue for them that they were not adhering to the agreement they made to deliver on Friday. Furthermore, we were never informed that we would be sharing a moving van with other customers. The reason they kept our move in Gauteng was because they did not have enough loads to fill up the truck. If we had know that we would be sharing a truck with other moves we would have either chosen to go with another removals company or we would have packed and marked our boxes and possessions more clearly. When they arrived at our house in the Western Cape, they first had to unload another move before they could get to our stuff. The other move was unloaded right next to the road and it was shocking to see how rough they handled the appliances and boxes. I would also not recommend you rely on Amazing transport to move your plants. After being in the container for more than a week my plants were in a terrible state when they were finally delivered. It seems like the tried to water the plants whilst it was in the container and this resulted in some of our boxes containing clothing getting wet. I wrote instructions on how the boxes had to be packed with arrows showing which side is up for the boxes containing liquids. This was completely ignored.

Hi Peter and Janien,

We acknowledge receipt of your posting regarding your recent move, and in particular the negative impact the delays had on your own travel arrangements.

You did advise us that your own travel arrangements were dependant on the collection and delivery dates. At the time of quoting in November we gave you as accurate as possible time estimates for the dates in early December. We advised that due to the nature of long distance furniture removals from Pretoria to Somerset West, it wasn’t possible at that stage to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but we would endeavour to ensure timeous delivery. We were also not made privy to your own specific travel logistics in the Western Cape until you were contacted to advise of the delay in delivery date

We apologise for the inconvenience caused, and thank you for your honest feedback and criticism
