Don't go there!
Location: Excellent views and a pleasant setting. Atmosphere: Unfortunately overshadowed by poor service and excessive wait times. Food: Disappointing. Both the toasted cheese and omelette were served cold and poorly prepared. Service: Unacceptable. Value: Very poor value for more than R800. Wait time: More than one hour. On Sunday morning, 5 July 2026, my wife and I took our two grandsons to this restaurant for breakfast. It was an extremely disappointing experience. We waited more than an hour for our food. During that time, we asked the waiting staff twice for an update and eventually had to approach the manager. Meanwhile, customers who arrived approximately 30 minutes after us received their meals well before we did. When our food finally arrived, my wife's toasted cheese and my omelette were both cold. To make matters worse, the waitress attempted to remove our plates while we were still eating. The explanation given was that the restaurant was busy. That does not explain why other tables that arrived much later were served within 30 minutes, while we waited more than an hour and had to ask about our order three times. To add insult to injury, as we were leaving, staff questioned us about whether we had paid the bill. That was completely unacceptable. We had paid the account in full and, despite the inadequate service, even left a tip. We paid more than R800 for cold food, poor service, an excessive waiting time and the added embarrassment of being questioned on departure. The views may be excellent, but based on our experience, this restaurant offers neither reasonable value for money nor an acceptable standard of service. Management urgently needs to address its kitchen coordination, staff supervision, and customer treatment.
