Will not eat here ever

Had guests from overseas who have very specific dietary requirements. I phoned in advanced to find out if the restaurant could cater to their needs and I was informed that it would not be a problem and that the dinner service starts at 6pm. Only to arrive with my guests to be asked if we have reservations, after I explained to the maitre' d that I had called and was not informed to make a reservation he then offered us a table that could only seat 5 chairs and there were 6 people in our group. <br> We walked into the restaurant, firstly there was nobody to greet and direct us - so we walked in looking for a table. There were many tables available, although the maitre' d decided to give us the worst table in the room and then told us there was nothing else he could do to seat 6 people in a restaurant full of empty tables.<br> We were disgusted at this and immediately walked out. We were offended and my guests were left hungry.<br> Amaravathi Palki obviously does not value their customers or perhaps they believe that their exclusive restaurant is only for the residents of musgrave, durban north and umhlanga - if you know what I mean!!!
