Agent to be aware of

I am writing this review in light of my experience with the above mentioned agent. I recently vacated a flat upon expiration of my lease which I rented through them. The agent then refused to refund my deposit and I was told that my contract states I need give a notice period before I vacate upon expiration and it also states this "by law". Long story short, it does not state this in our contract nor does the law state this either.

To date I have even resorted to contacting the owner to have this resolved. Still no refund has been received. My husband and I even received a refund form to complete and was told by the agent that we would receive the refund after 30 days as the money is held in a trust account, this after they refused to pay. We have since reported them to the Rental Tribunal and lodged a complaint so that we can receive our refund.

I urge anyone dealing with these agents to be careful and to make sure you know your rights and do not accept anything at face value.
