POOR SERVICE BY AMANI FUNERAL SERVICES

My cousins and I undertook a project where we wanted to have tombstones installed for all our relatives who never had ones due to financial constraints of family members at the time of their deaths. I was referred by a friend to Amani Funeral Services, based in East London. Having had stellar service from other vendors in the area referred by said friend, I did not even hesitate. Contacted the owner and ordered four stones initially with the idea that more orders would follow. Needless to say the service was ATROCIOUS!! Delivery of the first stone ended up with them having to leave the stone without having installed it due to the time they arrived (after 10pm in the rural areas - no electricity and a steep hill to drive down to get to the actual grave). We had to get someone to install the tombstone the following morning. Delivery of the other three stones was made in October 2022. Two stones were delivered in December 2022 and we were told that the third stone would be delivered with the following day or the following week. The stone only got delivered on 2 March 2023!!!! After having had two delivery dates in this new year cancelled at the last minute. I would not refer anyone to that company. They are one of the reasons people always complain about black businesses and their poor service. The owner does not take calls and decides if and when she will respond to whatsapp messages. Every excuse in the book, she will use it.
