DON'T PAY UNTIL ALL WORK COMPLETED

This is a small business in the Westville area in Durban. I had 6 large items of wooden furniture taken from dark wood to white at a cost of almost R5000 - very expensive but she appeared to have a good reputation... The owner Amanda is a bit"flighty" despite it all being in writing she was constantly asking what we had agreed the paint finish would be like... The last item was a wooden chest she supposedly "whitewashed" despite us agreeing in writing 3 times on "lime wash"..it looked awful and was a poor job compared to the rest of the furniture. She agreed with me and said she would come back to redo it but please would I pay her in full as she needed the money. As I was happy with the rest of the furniture and trusted her I paid her in full. My mistake. As soon as she had the money she sent a message saying she had thought about it and she now felt the chest looked fine and if I wanted her to come back I would have to pay her more.
