Report on Incident at AM Spares – Pretoria West

On my recent visit to AM Spares in Pretoria West, I was assisted by Maria, who works as a front desk sales representative. I purchased a car part. After taking the part home and confirming, I discovered that it does not match my car and cannot be used.

I returned to the store with the part in good condition and presented my EFT proof of payment as evidence of purchase. However, Maria refused to either exchange the part for the correct one or issue me with a credit note that would allow me to purchase other parts from the shop.

This refusal left me without a usable car part and with no resolution despite providing valid proof of payment. The matter reflects poor customer service and an unwillingness to assist customers in correcting honest purchase errors.

The incident has caused both inconvenience and financial frustration, as the money spent has not been recovered or converted into a practical solution. This experience highlights the need for AM Spares to review their return and exchange process to ensure fair treatment of customers.
