Retrofitting and renovation is almost always fraught with problems. I recently replaced a large panoramic window in my sunroom as well as a wide sliding door system to my patio. Both installations required very careful removal of the existing frames and fitting the new frames with minimum disruption to my home. Understandably I was very apprehensive.
