Avoid at all costs!

I had a full renovation done to my flat, floor to ceiling with multiple contractors. Alucape was the worst one I had to deal with by far. Jacques the owner of the company was helpful and full of promises while getting the quote sorted, but second we paid the deposit things went downhill.

He told us the window was going to be delivered on a specific date, we planned for this and so removed the old window to speed up the installation, we received a phone call at 10 am from Jacques telling me that they have lost the window which means we now have a giant hole in the flat which had to be covered with plywood for the night.

At this point I was experiencing a huge lack of communication from Jacques, not picking up my calls and lots of excuses as to why I could not get any information out of him. Once the window was installed the result was shocking, one has been installed skew and the burglar bars are uneven, due to bad planning the installers were here until 7 pm as they didn't want to come back the next day, they were working in the dark, and didn't clean up properly after themselves. They never came back to fix the skew window and tried to charge extra for a plastered to fix the wall when I had made sure that this service was included before I accepted the quote. At the end of the day he never sent anyone to fix anything and to be honest I don't want them back.

At this stage, I was getting really frustrated and annoyed with Alucape, but it was too late to turn back as I had already ordered a new sliding door which Jacques promised would take 10 working days, it took 17. Due to the door being late, the whole project was delayed. Jacques refused to take any responsibility whatsoever, for this delay. While installing, our wall was severely damaged, we were not told of the damage nor was there any attempt to repair it. The installers left without letting us know and left ******* all over the property.

Avoid this company as they just tell you what you want to hear and do not deliver. After working in the construction industry for many years, this is one of the worst experiences I have had with a contractor.
