Worst Second Hand Car Dealer
My wife and I had the worst experience with Alro Motors. A week after the car was bought a transfer case leak was picked up and took it back to be repaired. I was contacted and told the oil leak was fixed, which it wasn't. Returned the vehicle for a second time which the oil leak was finally fixed. A few weeks later the engine started cutting out or losing power under acceleration. I informed Alro motors and they said they will have a look at it. The problem was dirty diesel filter and the problem wasn't investigated any further. After I had the vehicle back again for the third time the vehicle started having problems with starting. I contacted David from Alro motors which he rep**** that they can't help any further. I had to tow the car in to a RMI approved mechanic so that the warranty could cover the costs. I had the vehicle at Auto Dynamix and which they found that the diesel tank was filthy. I had to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. Keep in mind, this is all in 4 months of owning the car which only 3000km was done and according to the Consumer Protection Act, the dealer is liable for any repairs in the first six months which are not wear and tear. However, I phone David from Alro motors and he rep**** that I should have brought the car to him so that they could fix it. Ridiculous! This made me upset, after which he told me it was my own problem and the warranty would cover it. I have asked Andre (The owner) to reimburse me the cost, which he hasn't rep**** to.
Keep note: Additional faults that was found after purchasing the vehicle. 1. Faulty and broken spare key. Used to original spare key for test drives. 2. Body work done - respraying. 3. Poor after sales service. 4. Over pricing of cars.
I wish I could give the dealership a 0/5. Do not buy a car from them!
