Beware !!! Alpine Lounge leather extremely sensitive to light and not just “ direct sunlight “

BEWARE : Alpine Lounge leather is extremely sensitive to light and not just “ Direct sunlight “ as claimed by Alpine Purchased leather lounge suite 18/1/2019 Noticed that it was starting to get lighter in color after about 2 months It has changed from dark brown to light beige First spoke to Kloppers where I purchased the suite Eventually they recommended I contact Alpine Lounge direct because they were getting no positive reaction from Alpine besides getting the answer that it must be because of direct sunlight ( sight unseen ) Emailed Peter Grey at Alpine Lounge with my problem I explained that I know that suite “ cannot be in direct sunlight “ as per Alpine instructions However my lounge suite is in a south facing room which gets no direct sunlight at all Peter Grey rep**** quote. “ analine leather is sensitive to light , it doesn’t have to be direct sunlight “ ( Different to what they say in their warranty ) He sent me a small jar of oil wax and suggested I try that I tried the oil wax which was totally unsatisfactory and emailed Peter Grey explaining my dissatisfaction After that Alpine Lounge has unfortunately shown no inclination to try and sort out my problem even though I have tried to be as accommodating as possible I must point out that my previous leather couch ( also expensive leather with scar marks etc ) which was made by a different manufacturer had stood in this exact same position for 12 years with absolutely no problems Conclusion : Do not buy from Alpine Lounge unless it is for a darkened cinema with no windows Suggest salesman should be alerted to Alpine Lounge problems so that prospective customers will be warned in advance before wasting their money
