Atrocious service and bad dealings all around

Never EVER will I have dealings with Alphera Finance again. I asked them for a settlement amount, they then sent me a letter with an amount, and are now claiming that is not the settlement letter NOR amount. So I have gone over and above what I could to get the money together, now it is not enough and they have lumped TWO FURTHER AMOUNTS on top of the original amount. I AM NOT A LAWYER. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THE LETTER DID NOT INDICATE WHAT I ASKED?????
