Paid Settlement as Instructed, Now Being Asked to Pay More
I received a settlement offer from Risima Holdings stating that I could settle my account by paying 20% of the outstanding balance. Before making payment, I contacted their call centre to confirm the settlement amount and was advised that the amount would fully settle the account. Based on this confirmation, I made the payment. After payment was received and when I requested my paid-up letter, Risima Holdings informed me that the settlement offer was allegedly sent in error and that I still owed the remaining balance. This was only communicated after the payment had been made. I believe it is unfair for a company to honour a settlement offer, accept payment, and then attempt to change the terms afterward due to an internal error. I have requested the call recording and supporting documentation confirming the advice I received but have not yet received a satisfactory resolution. I am seeking that ALOAN and Risima Holdings honour the settlement communicated and provide my paid-up letter as originally agreed.

Prescribed Debt Still Being Ignored – Extremely Frustrating Experience I am honestly very upset and disappointed with Aloan
I have been trying for some time to resolve an issue involving a debt that has clearly prescribed. I have emailed and followed up more than once, explaining my situation and asking for this matter to be handled correctly. Instead of getting help, I am met with nothing but automated responses. No real person, no answers, no solution. This has been incredibly frustrating and stressful for me. Knowing that a debt has prescribed, yet still seeing it being treated as active, makes me feel completely ignored as a consumer. I have done my part by reaching out and trying to resolve this amicably, but Aloan has shown no urgency or accountability. Because of this ongoing lack of response, I am now left with no choice but to escalate the matter to the NCR and the Legal Practice Council (LPC). This situation could have been resolved easily if proper attention was given. I am requesting the immediate removal of this prescribed debt and written confirmation. Consumers should not have to fight this hard just to have their legal rights respected. Very disappointing experience.
