Shoddy workmanship

Albert van Wyk of Allou Konstruksie constructed a steel pergola at my house. I was initially satisfied with the workmanship until I realized that one of the stays started leaking water. I was worried that this will cause accelerated rust and all the stays will have the same problem. Albert assured me that it will not be a problem as long as the water is clear. Logic tells me over time this will cause rust. Asked him to come drill holes in the other stays to confirm that it is not a problem. After 6 weeks he still did not pitch and I had to get another contractor to assist. My suspicion was confirmed and a lot of rusty water came streaming from a number of the stays. I will not recommend using Albert as he is unreliable and dishonest. Quick to take your money, but not returning when there is a problem.
