Full car inspection not done

I've called Allen Joss Auto on the 9th of February 2023,to make a appointment for a full car inspection.

The reason for that was my fuel consumption was way to high for what was expected of the model and make of the car , and we did tell them as soon as we got there.

We gave them the car and they went to drop me of at home . When they where all done with the inspection they also came to pick me up from my house to get my car and my quote of R31 444.66 at Allen Joss Auto

So we had to take the car without anything done to make a plan for the money first .

So the 16th of February 2023 my friend told me i should just check my air filter of the car it can be dirty and that it may be the cause of my fuel consumption being so high,so i went to open the airfilter box my self and discovered that my airfilter wasn't even opend during the full inspection ,because it was full of rat faeces ,sponges,dog food and the filter it self was miss shaped .

They also said i need to replace all 3 wipers and bought a new rear wiper on the 17th of January 2023.

So i am here to ask where did the big quote come from if they didn't even open my air filter box ?
