I am truly shocked and appalled at the number of bad reviews here, which in my humble opinion seems to be from those who do not understand what Allan Gray actually is or stands for.

I've never once had bad service from Allan Gray. I personally have never had to call them or complain about anything. And I've been with them for years.

Their online portal is more than enough for that which I need to do, and provides more than sufficient information regarding their rules and regulations regarding their various funds. It also boasts a lot of information about all the funds one may invest in.

Withdrawals have been absolutely easy always. When I load a withdrawal instruction, within 2 business days, the funds are available in my bank account. No mess no fuss. And recently, the money is available the very next day if the instruction is received before 2pm. And tax certificates? Well I get them online too after I've logged in.

I see that many people are unaware about the fact that AG are NOT brokers, and they cannot give advice since they ARE NOT brokers. I had a broker (advisor, so to say), that was investing my funds via Allan Gray, and he was taking a commission, in addition to what Allan Gray's costs were.

It's why I opted to invest my funds directly with Allan Gray by myself (after ALOT of reading and understanding of course). As Allan Gray stood out as a (very) reputable company to invest with even by standards of Sanlam, Discovery,and other well known insurance and investment companies. Allan Gray was always in the first 3 companies that was invested in by all the brokers I dealt with. So in my understanding, if every other (well known) company uses AG to handle their funds, than why not me? (after research of various funds of course).

Yes, it takes a lot of reading up and understanding to take certain investments decisions into one's own hands. It it also takes a lot of trust in a company like AG which is standing so proudly for such a long time. I have complete faith that AG cannot possibly want for its clients to lose their money, as that would be completely AGAINST what they stand & strive for.

It's taken me a long time to learn how to invest. And I don't know why, but I FEEL SAFE HERE. I sleep well at night not worrying about my funds disappearing. In fact, I've only ever seen my funds grow. And now I've learnt the power of long term Investing, and compounding through you, AG.

Thank you Allan Gray and it's team of worker bees. You guys are super!!
