Disgusting!!!!!!

Like all elderly folk we put things in a safe place and then forget where we put it ! In this case the key to the small wallsafe in our retirement cottage. We needed to have the safe opened and called alllocks 24 hour service , advertising a call out fee of R150.00 and affordable charges . Afyer arrival and in discussions a cost of up to R3200.00 to unlock , supply new lock and two keys .Assuming the major cost would be in the lock and two keys .We were unable to afford that amount and asked that the safe just be opened. Using a drill,hammer and *****diver they opened the safe . Time taken about 30 minutes .Cost R1800.00. In cash ! Payment was made with the funds we had drawn for Xmas presents .So a pretty barren Xmas for us this year . Moral of the story is , I suppose , to be sure of the costs before the start We are still in shock !
