Exorbitant Charge for Minimal Work - Felt Like Price Gouging

I am writing this review to caution other homeowners in Gauteng about the pricing practices of All Fixed Up.

On 29 August 2025, I hired them for a job that their technician completed in approximately one and a half hours. While the technician was polite and the work itself was done, I was absolutely shocked to receive an invoice for R 5,500.00.

For context, this was for a blown switch on the main DB Board.

This charge is wildly disproportionate to the time spent and the nature of the work. It far exceeds any reasonable market rate for such a brief service and feels like blatant price ************** for customers who may not know standard industry charges.

I attempted to contact the company to request a detailed breakdown and justification for this amount, but my concerns were dismissed.

Ultimately, I felt I had no choice but to pay to avoid further issues, but the experience has left a very bitter taste. I deeply regret hiring them.

My advice: If you use this company, get a detailed, written quote upfront that includes hourly rates and all potential fees. Do not assume their pricing will be fair or reasonable after the work is done.

I would not recommend All Fixed Up and will not be using their services again.
