Lost appeal & disgusting

<p>On the weekend of 13/14 May17, my family & I booked into the self-catering lodge ‘All are Welcome’ in Brakpan, Benoni. We have been using this facility for the past three years and the place was an average three stars lodging & even though' the owner can sometimes be rude and acts as if he is doing the clients a favour in providing such accommodation, but if you had a problem he would try to tend to it himself. However on this occasion I can sincerely say I was left disappointed and found my visit at the lodge to be uncomfortable. We arrived early around 9:30am, & was assured by the agent that the cottage would be available to us since we was travelling by car from Durban to Jhb and would be tired. When we arrived, I was shocked to find the place dirty and smelly, for example; the toilet had not been washed, the sheets on the beds were not changed from the previous occupants and the kitchen bin not emptied. My nephew complained about the rooms not being acceptable, and was told by the agent that there was nothing he could do. I even asked the **** that came around later, if she could get me new sheets and she too was unhelpful saying there was none since it was a rainy weekend, I mean really a place like this should have a tumble dryer right? We only stayed for a night and had to make do with blankets as sheets on this cold weekend. The wall mounted heaters that once was, was removed; the satellite TV did not work; and you would be lucky to even get hot water from the geyser when you wanted to go have a shower; oh and let me mention how inconvenient of not having any toilet paper nor any soap in the bathroom. I was left very distraught & would not recommend this place nor return. It has downgraded itself from a three star lodging to a one star. </p>
