DO NOT USE ALIVE COATINGS - terrible service

We chose Alive Coatings to to paint our house as they were a member of the Master Builders Association, and we believed that we would get good service. They were significantly more expensive than the other quotes we received, but we decided we wanted good service.<br> <br> Wow, were we wrong.<br> <br> As soon as they had the deposit, they were hard to get hold of. It took us almost 3 months to get all the colour samples on the wall. They did not listen to what we wanted, and would paint colours they wanted . Next, the quality of the workmanship was shoddy (didnt prepare the plaster properly, missed areas). We had a long snag list, that they still have not completed, despite us complaining. We have subsequently cut our losses as they just are not interested in following up.<br> <br> They are also very unprofessional with communication. Firstly, Andre promises everything, but does not follow up. Secondly, Rob does not reply to emails. They also dont pitch up to appointments, and couldnt be bothered to even sms that they cant make it. They are now trying to weasel their way out of giving us a warranty for the dampproofing.<br> <br> If you are working on your house, DO NOT USE ALIVE COATINGS
