Exceptional Vision and Unshakable Integrity
Aligned Interiors and Candace – Unmatched Talent, Integrity, and Resilience I am posting this review to set the record straight and highlight a business that truly operates with heart, vision, and excellence. Candace’s design philosophy at Aligned Interiors goes far beyond standard decorating. Her ability to transform a space easily surpasses most interior design companies operating in South Africa today. Having done business with Candace personally, I can state without hesitation that the negative comments floating around are completely one-sided and, in at least one instance I know firsthand, factually incorrect. What critics on these forums fail to recognize is the immense grit behind Aligned Interiors. Building a business completely from scratch as a mother of three—with zero external financial backing—takes the mindset and strength of a warrior. It is easy to build a company when you have investors funding your journey; doing it on pure resilience, talent, and hard work is something that deserves immense respect, not hostility. Candace and Aligned Interiors are an inspiration. I trust her implicitly, promote her work 100%, and strongly recommend her services to anyone looking for top-tier design rooted in absolute integrity.

Business: Aligned Interiors Name: Candice Burchell Cell: *** I am reporting my experience with Candice Burchell, trading as Aligned Interiors in Cape Town. I paid substantial amounts for the renovation, furnishing and decorating of my home. My dispute includes goods paid for but never supp****, incorrect/substituted goods, refunds and supplier credits not properly accounted for, disputed labour/delivery charges, and defective/incomplete workmanship. I have repeatedly requested a full financial reconciliation and repayment of the outstanding amounts. The matter is now under legal review. I have invoices, bank records, emails, WhatsApps, photos and other supporting evidence available.

I wish I could give a zero-star rating. This ‘designer’ took R39 500 full upfront payment and missed the first two deadlines with no communication as to why. When I said I’m not happy with her performance, will pay for the call out and work she’d done thus far, but would like to terminate and get a refund for the rest, she said she was unable to as she’d already spent the money. She refuses to take any calls and will now only communicate through her lawyer. I'd most certainly not recommend Candace or her company.
