Outstanding service at Alf's Stationers

Alf of Alf's Stationers, in my opinion, goes the extra mile to assist a customer. When the item that I was looking for was not on the shelf, he personally took me with him to check the storerooms. He had plenty of the items in stock and in the storerooms, but not in the colour that I wanted. He asked me to go to the checkout counter and give them my name and address. He informed me that he would have the item in the colour that I wanted within a couple of days and they would deliver it to my house. Whilst I was busy with this, he found some slightly bigger items in the colour I wanted. I was happy with them and duly paid for them. Unfortunately the items that I was given did not fit in the drawer where I stored the others. I contacted Alf and told him that we would pass his place of business later in the week to buy some of the correct size, immaterial of colour. I informed him that I would keep the items of the wrong size. He immediately said that he would deliver the items in the correct size and colour as soon as he got them in stock. Furthermore, he would take the wrong sized items back. For items costing slightly less than R 30.00 total , this is definitely going the extra mile for a customer.
