Utterly Bad customer service and Horrible Communication

We recently booked accommodation at this B&B for 4 days, and the we were giving to a certain date to pay for the booking. Upon payment the booking was confirmed. Two days after that they phone my wife and says the room is not available anymore, which was confirmed. Not only that the person rudely say that it was not her job or responsibility to let us know that the room was no longer available. Not my version of great customer service. They can forget about seeing me or me giving them a gleaming reference to my friends and family.
