The truth about retirement fund with Alexander Forbes that no one told you about yet

I've been dismissed from my job at Standard bank and i was working for 3 years paying my retirement on a monthly basis. This happened in April and it's sad to say that that without a job for almost 4 months now, my retirement fund hasn't been paid out. No one from Alexender forbes calls to update me on how far "the process" is, and i can't believe that in this day & age, where technology is at it's peak, one still has to wait so long for the money you've invested religiously to payout, the talk about financial wellness and how we should invest our money is not benefiting society in any way, but the investments that partner with these big companies we work for. I still don't understand why you're obligated to take up a retirement or provident fund if the main companies are going to treat and exploit their clients the way they do. Unemployed, I don't have money to pay my debts off and start my life over at clean slate, the company you're investing your money in, doesn't give a damn about that. This is the South Africa that we live in. The system wins again!

I just want my money back, I've been waiting and I can't be any patient any longer. Someone has to speed up this process. I have a family to feed and debts to pay. It's sad that Alexander Forbes is waiting for me to get temp loans to the point that when they decide to pay out, this money goes somewhere other than my pocket. The system wins again. I guess there's no loophole when it comes to investing your money if such a reputable company doesn't even bother to make sure their clients are well-taken care by paying them what they've been investing in the long run. We still have a long way to go as South Africans and i'm more than confident to say, I'm not the first one to go through this.
