Tax Return Blocked Due to Incorrect Directive Submitted by Alexander Forbes

I transferred my retirement annuity from Alexander Forbes to Liberty. This was a section 14 transfer , however Alexander Forbes submitted this transfer using code 3614, which incorrectly classifies it as a taxable lump sum payment. This error has led SARS to issue a tax directive and reject my tax return submission due to a perceived undeclared lump sum — even though this amount was never paid out to me.I contacted Alexander Forbes, and they acknowledged the mistake. I was advised that the matter has been reported to SARS, but I have not received any written confirmation, reference numbers, or indication of when the issue will be resolved. I am concerned that this delay is unjustified and that it is impacting my right to a fair and timely tax assessment.
