Releasing Funds BAD!!!

I got divorced in July 2014 where I send the divorce decree and settlement to Alexander Forbes for pension portion to be paid out to my former spouse. Alexander Forbes informed me that the settlement wording was incorrect, I had to get a lawyer to amend the settlement agreement to suit Alexander Forbes. After spending thousand on my lawyer we finally got the settlement amended via the court and resend the documentation to Alexander Forbes. Although Alexander Forbes now sit with a decree of divorce and 2 signed (myself and former spouse) settlement agreements they informed my lawyer now they would like a written request and approval from myself and my former spouse to release the funds. After a week of getting my former spouse to sign the declaration and forward it. My lawyer finally forwarded all the documentation and were waiting funds to be released. No Alexander Forbes came back yet again and requested my lawyer they need all original documentation before funds can be released. This is getting ridiculous, is everyone struggling this much to get their pension released?
