Provident Fund Withdrawal

<p>My previous employer send in my withdrawal to AF around the 10th May and the withdrawal was finalised and payment made on the 12th June. I then received an sms stating that they could not finalise my payment due to different info on the withdrawal form and the bank.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then provided Af with all the supporting documents on the 15th June and was told I should receive my money in 5 working days after they have validated my banking details. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have been calling since to follow up on the claim to only discover today that since I attached my divorce decree to support my surname change I will not receive my payment untill AF has validated if there is a claim against the fund with the courts.</p> <p> </p> <p>My problem is it is almost a month since I send the documents and again should this checks not be done when the withdrawal is submitted, in my case had there not been any problem with the surname I would have received my money even though there might be a claim against it.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was then told that they have validated and there is no court order against my funds but I need to wait a further 5 working days to receive feedback and I must call back.</p> <p> </p> <p>All I want is to know the actuall status of my claim without being told to call back every other 5 working days and everytime I call I receive a different feedback.</p>
