Pathetic horrible service AForbes
I was retrenched in March by the company I was working for. Alexander Forbes was the company my pension funds was invested. After my retrenchment I requested a pension fund withdrawal. Which required me to submit documentation. Few weeks letter recieved a sms informing me that the validation bank process has been rejected due to issues with one of the documents. This was the start of the nightmare. I called Alexander Forbes and I was advised I should submit a bank confirmation letter with a copy of my ID which I immediately did. I recieved a acknowledgement automating email confirming the receipt of the documents. Just to make sure I called Alexander forbes to confirm receipt. I was advice the payment will reflect at the end of the week. Come the end of the week, the payment didn't reflect. I called again, the agent tells me the administrator requires the original documents from my ex employer. My ex employer sends the documents. Then I was told the payment will be releases. Days pass the payment is not released. I call again, now I am told there is a change of Banking details document that I need to complete and submit. I then submitted it immediately. I then called to confirm receipt. AForbes acknowledged receipt. I was then told next week the payout will reflect in your account. Next week comes, still there is nothing. I called again, now Im told there is a missing document. Then I question this and request to speak to a manager. New information emerge that all documents were recieved but there is no explanation or reason why the payout is not released. Appearantly the administrator tells different stories to different AForbes agents. I am so disappointed at AForbes, such a prestigious company but offers bad ridiculous service. I am literally sent from pillar to post for unexplained reasons. Ill definitely not invest AForbes ever again. Pathetic... Service, no feedback calls. Everyone just does not care.
