Frustrated by AF delays
I received an email on 2 June about surplus from a pension fund that was due to me. The withdrawal claim form indicated that payment would be made between 6-8 weeks. I submitted everything. After 9 weeks I sent emails. After 10 weeks I called. I received an email only to be told they need my marriage certificate which i immediately submitted. The claim was handed to the fund administrator. Today, the fund administrator called to validate that I am the one who put in the claim. I confirmed and when I asked when the money would be paid, her reply was that she can't tell because the fund is on downtime. Yesterday marked 14 weeks since my submission. Frustrated doesn't even begin to describe my experience. The needs of clients are clearly not top of mind.
