***** or ********?

In 2014 me and my brother went to the Brooklyn branch to confirm if there were any available funds our father left us 3 kids after his passing 1995. My mom had funds ever since my dad passed until my younger brother turned 18. The trust fund then paid the rest of HER money to her. The lady at Alexander forbes Brooklyn, phoned the call center and spoke to a lady "Cherly", she confirmed that we (me and my 2 brothers) each has our own accounts but they need to first speak to the daughter (me) before they can speak to my brothers for payment.. now Cherly resigned and all of our funds vanished. All calls was recorded, and they said there was a mistake, after she gave us all the information we didn't even had at that time... Should we get a lawyer to sort this out? A former employee of the same branch warned us that they stole our money and pay people inside to whipe out all evidence.. She said it happens alot! What should we do?
