Formal Complaint Unreasonable Delay in Pension Payout
Subject: Formal Complaint: Unreasonable Delay in Pension Payout – Alexander Forbes
To: Alexander Forbes Pension Fund Department Date: 26 June 2025
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the poor service I have received from your pension department. I submitted all the required documentation on 13 May 2025, yet as of today, I have not received any feedback or confirmation regarding the payout of my pension benefits.
It has been over six weeks, and despite several follow-ups, I have been left completely in the dark. No updates, no clear timelines, and no explanation have been provided. This delay is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect and urgency for matters that affect people’s livelihoods.
I would like to remind you that this is my own money, and the extended delay in processing it is causing unnecessary financial strain. As a client, I expect timely and professional service — especially when it comes to such critical matters.
I request the following as a matter of urgency:
A formal update on the status of my payout A clear and confirmed date for when the payment will be processed A written explanation for the delay and lack of communication Please treat this as a formal complaint and provide me with a complaint reference number. Should I not receive a satisfactory response within 5 working days, I will escalate this matter to the Pension Funds Adjudicator and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Yours sincerely, Mrs Maharaj
