Don't invest with Alexander Forbes!

I would not recommend Alexander Forbes to anyone! My Father worked for Sasol and they invested the employees pension funds with Alexander Forbes. My Dad passed away unexpectedly the 5th of October 2021. It was a hard blow and very traumatic for my brother and I. We had to send in a book of documentation. We have never been in a situation like this before, so we had no idea what to do or where to turn to. No one from alexander forbes was in contact with us. Getting through to them is impossible. If you phone the call center, you hang on for hours and when someone does answer they have no idea what they are doing ( ***********) every call center agent told us a different story, one of them even told me that my Father had no more pension fund there, but he was recieving a monthly pension from them.... We are still struggling with them, 3 months later. Received an email yesterday stating that this may take up to 12 months!!! Their website says 4 -12 weeks for claims and my Father's HR where he used to work also said to me maximum 12 weeks. Everytime I phone, no one is of any assistance or lies to us. If I send an email, they reply 2 weeks later, not even answering my questions and just say that this has been referred to another department, now 4 times already. We are fed up, heartbroken and don't know how to carry on with this anymore. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially if you are dealing with the loss of a loved one!!
