Disinvesting funds went from 3-4 days to a month
Alexander forbes has been giving me a run around with my provident fund claim. I resigned in December last year and worked till 28/01/22. I got an SMS advising i will be called for investing option since there was a change to my fund, I called them 03/02/22 to confirm if they received all relevant documents and I was told they havent because Capitec might be waiting to add their last contribution, which was later confirmed by capitec HR to be the case. The contribution was added end feb and i got an sms on 28/02/22 advising claim will be processed in 4 weeks. I called alexander forbes 8/3/22 to confirm if all relevant docs have been received and I was advised they have received all docs and the last contribution, the funds are being disinvested, the process takes 3-4 working days and i should call back by Monday 14/03/22 if i have not received anything. I called back the following week and I was told they still disinvesting till I was called from complaints last week and I was told dis investing only started 24/03/22. I got another call on 25/03/22 that there was a hold with Capitec claims and it has been resolved so the funds are being disinvested and my claim has been prioritised for urgent processing, will be updated on 29/03/22. I just got an email now that I must wait till 04/04/22 they are still disinvesting
