Another person's policy billed to my account
I recently moved to Europe and cancelled my insurance with AF with effect August 2018. The insurance was cancelled successfully, but in December 2018, my account was debited again by AF for insurance policies. When I contacted them to ask what was being debited, they explained that I took out new insurance for 2 vehicles. After further inspection, I noticed that the 2 vehicles belong to my mother, and that they were billing her account to mine. (She has been fighting this matter separately). I contacted AF, and explained the situation. There has been many emails back and forth, but all AF have done is blame me and my mother. They are now investigating us, instead of their own processes.
When I asked for proof that I had asked for the insurance, they set through confirmation of my INITIAL request, but failed to show the details of the cancelled policy. They also cannot explain how I used to pay for my vehicle, but now have two completely different vehicles on my name.
All I expected was a quick apology, a refund to my account, and my mother's account to be billed. But unfortunately, AF are on a mission to cover up their mess up. I have spoken to 5 different people (including Churchill Seele the insurance consultant), where one of whom is a branch manager (Wendy Khumalo) - all of whom cannot fathom that they have messed up.
I just need this matter to be sorted out, because it is just dragging out, and I am still being billed.
