Alexander Forbes submitted wrong tax number — Two-Pot withdrawal blocked (Case ***5)

I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my Two-Pot retirement withdrawal by Alexander Forbes.

I submitted a full savings withdrawal on 12 March 2026 (Case Number: ***5). However, Alexander Forbes used the wrong tax number on my claim — they entered *** instead of my correct personal tax number: *** (ID: ***).

As a result:

SARS cannot issue a tax directive due to the incorrect tax number;

My payment is blocked indefinitely;

This is causing stress and financial inconvenience;

The error is entirely on Alexander Forbes’ side.

I have already contacted Alexander Forbes but have not yet received a confirmation that the tax number will be corrected and resubmitted to SARS.

I expect Alexander Forbes to:

Correct the tax number on my Two-Pot withdrawal claim immediately,

Resubmit the claim to SARS without further delay,

Provide written confirmation of the correction and expected timeline.

I submitted every document i My claim has been delayed due to an incorrect tax number submitted on my claim. My correct personal tax number is *** and I have been trying to resolve this since submission.
Alexander Forbes requested an original IT150 Notice of Registration dated 2026. Despite every effort I am unable to obtain this document due to a current SARS eFiling system error completely outside of my control. SARS eFiling is not allowing me to generate or download the IT150 at this time.
I have however provided the following official alternative SARS documents confirming my tax registration:
  1. SARS ITA34 Notice of Assessment dated 18 March 2026
  2. SARS Verification of Assessment letter confirming tax number ***
  3. SARS eFiling IRP6 Successfully Activated confirmation
  4. SARS eFiling screenshot confirming ITR12 system error
I am kindly requesting that Alexander Forbes considers accepting these documents as alternative proof and escalates my claim internally so it can be processed without further delay. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. FD ROODT Case ***5 Tax Number ***

Alexander Forbes blocking Two-Pot withdrawal since 12 March 2026 — wrong tax number their error — no resolution (Case ***5)

I submitted a Two-Pot withdrawal claim on 12 March 2026 (Case ***5) from the North-West University Pension Fund. Alexander Forbes submitted the wrong tax number on my claim — they used *** instead of my correct personal tax number *** (ID ***). This error was made entirely by Alexander Forbes and not by me.
As a result SARS cannot issue a tax directive and my payment has been blocked since 12 March 2026 — over a week with no resolution.
I have provided the following six official SARS documents proving my correct tax registration:
  1. SARS ITA34 Notice of Assessment dated 18 March 2026
  2. SARS Verification of Assessment confirming tax number ***
  3. ITR12 Successfully Activated screenshot dated 20 March 2026
  4. IRP6 Successfully Activated screenshot dated 20 March 2026
  5. ID copy
  6. Proof of bank dated 2026
Despite all of this Alexander Forbes continues demanding an IT150 dated 2026 which I cannot obtain due to a SARS system error completely outside my control. I have received no meaningful response or resolution despite multiple emails and complaints. My application deadline was 20 March 2026 — today — and Alexander Forbes has deliberately delayed processing past this deadline through their own error and unreasonable document requirements. I am requesting that Alexander Forbes immediately accepts my alternative documents, corrects the tax number on my claim and processes my withdrawal without further delay. DECLINED AGAIN ON THE PHONE WITH SARS IT WAS SUBMITTED ON THE WRONG TAX NUMBER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got resolved to prevent this from happening again i had SARS Cancel the inactive number now AF will have no choice but to use the correct number i sent AF Forbes the correct tax number in order for it to be fixed on the portal please do so
