Alex Forbes is a nightmare with a fancy name

If you're thinking about investing with Alexander Forbes... PLEASE DON'T! Ever since leaving my employer in June I requested to fill in my exit documents to receive my contributions as advised when your contract ends with the company your contributions will be paid out. HR informed me the process would take 4 to 6 weeks... I waited patiently for over 2 months before contacting Forbes querying my claim. Mlungisi from Customer Care informed me my account reflects as 'active' and they have not received my documents, he requested I contact HR... Upon following up with them, I was informed by HR that the documents were emailed the day I parted with the company, however they would follow up with Forbes and get back to me. 18th of August HR resend the documents, cc'd me in the email along with another HR employee and emailed the documents to Noxolo Mazibuko, Nonto Ndaba and Coreplan Claims. You would think SOMEONE would take SOME initiative. I heard nothing from them for another month. Fed up I decide to send another email with a long and heated message, with a screenshot taken of the email addresses the documents were sent to and also, resent the documents myself. Only to receive a message saying "your account still reflects"... Absolutely no sense of customer service or responsibility provided from anyone in this ghost-town of a company. I emailed them again mentioning exactly how much of a runaround I've been given despite having sent numerous emails to numerous departments and received NO help of feedback. Jacque from admin decides to email me, and you can guess what he said: "account reflects as active, documents haven't been received, and asked me to follow up with HR and if the documents were resent I should request the date they were sent". Are you kidding me!? Did this guy even read a word on the emails I sent!? Everything was in black and white INCLUDING THE DATE. No one is held accountable for receiving my documents and doing nothing about it, no one will get back to you, they would much rather send you an email template they saved years ago and then go on as if you're not entitled to what belongs to you. I'm a fairly patient man. Very understanding too but this is pathetic! Can you imagine how bad it is to receive a few thousand rands... What more if you're money is in the 6 or 7 figures? I want my money... Let's not act like you're doing people a favour, we pay for services... RENDER THEM!
