9 weeks and Alex Forbes still has not paid my money

9 weeks and still no payout

It has been 9 weeks and my retirement fund withdrawal claim still has not been paid out.

I have sent multiple emails to their admin address with no response. I also emailed their complaints address directly, and again, no response. I then called their contact centre and spoke to a consultant, Methuli Sibiya, who told me the delay was because the payment option had never been selected on my form - something no one had told me in 9 weeks of emailing. I immediately resubmitted the form with the payment option selected, plus my ID copy and bank statement. I received no acknowledgement. When I checked the system today, my claim is still stuck on “Claim registered” with zero progress.

This is money I worked hard for and I am being made to chase, call, and resubmit documents with no one taking accountability. I am also escalating this to the Pension Funds Adjudicator.
