Beware of ALex Motors

<p>Hi Readers,</p> <p>I thought that I take the time to highlight my experience with Alex Motors to make aware of potential buyers.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am from Cape Town and was planning to buy a vehicle from Alex Motors also trading under the name of Jermain Auto. They using another company to process their finance deals Pengelly Autos, who is not affiliated to them at all just allowing them to use their dealer code to process application. My experience with them was of a very good nature and can`t fault them at all. In fact I have emailed them and advise the consultant to inform the owner Kevin what my experience was so that he can decide if he wishes to continue dealing with them or not.</p> <p> </p> <p>Back to my experience, I flew up to JHB after all finance was approved and insurance confirmed to collect the vehicle. I requested that all documents be ready on collect,ie: FSH, AA / Dekra report etc. This was promised as well as Phindile from Pengelly Autos requested this from Alex Motors. She was actually very sweet to have taken time out on her off day to meet me at the dealership who is based opposite Jeppe police station.</p> <p> </p> <p>On arrival I discovered the follow problems which was not highlight on my numerous discussion with both Godwin and Lerato at the dealership.</p> <p>FSH was not available even thou I was assured that it would be,<br />AA / Dekra report not done after I was told that was done,<br />The vehicle had “50 shades” of white poor body repairs,<br />Mileage of 82000km was not genuine and was definitely tampered with and turned down,<br />Interior was not leather but vinyl instead, falsely advertised,<br />All tyres were different makes,<br />Windows tint was different and passage window was replaced<br />Interior was tattered and torn</p> <p>I went through the other entire vehicles on site and the same or similar issues I could pick up on all their vehicles. If you google Alex motors you will find that they have the most vehicles in the country with unusually low mileage per year model. Yes you can get these deals occasionally from various dealers but to have 1 dealer that has so many is just not possible unless all the vehicles mileage has been tampered with.</p> <p> </p> <p>Besides that I wasted flight tickets which costed me over R5000 for myself and friend who was going to relief me while driving back the CPT I could have been driving a financed vehicle with all the above issues.</p> <p> </p> <p>I hope that this complaint reaches as many potential buyers so that they are not done in. </p> <p> </p>
