Not my money's worth

I bought a stunning stiletto in Dec and when I finally wore it, I could not keep it on for longer than an hour as the straps are too hard, not tight but hard, they cut through my toes. The lace-up that goes around the ankle is also short and required an extra piercing which is ok. I went to the store to get help regarding this and was advised comfort is not covered. Stretching is not advisable and I did not agree to it as it is not my concern at the moment. I feel like my case has not been handled well as a customer should be allowed an exchange if a product does not suitable. Trying a shoe on in store and actually getting to wear it are two different things.
