ALDO - For those who do not expect customer service
Afternoon,
I am reaching out as ALDO needs to be made aware of the complete ineptitude of your Sandton store.
I visited your Mall of Africa store where I found a shoe I was interested in however, the size was unavailable. The individual who assisted me at this store was extremely helpful and informed me that the size I was looking for was available at your Sandton store (in both size 9 and size 10 as I was uncertain of the perfect fit).
Upon visiting your Sandton outlet, I dealt with a lady by the name of Sharon who informed me they only had 1 shoe of the size 9 and 1 shoe in size 10 (this blows my mind to begin with).
Sharon then contacted your Clearwater outlet and sourced the pair of shoes in the correct size 9. I then informed her I need to pay upfront in order to have the shoes IBT'd to the Sandton store (I was made aware of this process at your MOA outlet). Sharon then informed me this was not in fact the process and she will have the shoes IBT'd (the process taking roughly 7 days) and will contact me once the shoes have reached the Sandton store.
After 2 weeks of no correspondence from the Sandton store, I reached out to your head office. The store contacted me shortly afterwards where I spoke to Lerato (as Sharon was apparently on leave). She informed me this will be taken further.
at 11:30 today I received a call from Sharon with the below insights:
1. She informed me that she did in fact call me and a lady answered my phone (this is impossible and a direct lie). 2. She then informed me the shoes were no available at the Clearwater store. 3. She then requested the name of the shoe from me (which makes her previous statement a lie) however, I was never informed of the shoes name and expected the individual employed by ALDO to in fact have this information as surely this is part of their job.
At this stage I requested the store manager (Lerato) hoping to come to some sort of resolution and receive an ounce of customer service.
After informing Lerato of the situation, she requested that I come instore and advise them of the shoes I am looking for and start the process all over again.
This to me is the epitome of poor customer service and my mind is blown away. I question how ALDO is actually able to be a sustainable outlet when the employees are not even aware of the internal processes and unable to follow up a simple customer request.
I will advise others not to waste their precious time with ALDO going forward and ultimately boycott this shocking excuse for a company.
I do not expect to hear from anyone at ALDO and expect nothing in return from this message,
Perhaps screen those potential employees going forward before employing them not to do their job.
